How the Akrux audit and improvement service works

The process begins with a free diagnostic audit, continues with a private report and optional review call, and leads to manual improvement work only when Akrux and the business agree on a scope.

Published by AkruxUpdated:

1. Create a business profile

The owner supplies a business name and category, with optional website, city, aliases and up to five known competitors. A market setting controls the Russian–English prompt mix. These fields define the target entity; they are not public profile pages.

2. Research before asking

In a live scan, Akrux can research the public website and web results to identify services, audiences, aliases, sub-brands and likely competitors. Low-confidence research does not fill gaps with guesses; prompt generation falls back to the owner's fields.

3. Generate branded and unbranded prompts

The current default scan creates 25 prompts across branded, category, best-of, comparison, purchase and informational intents. Every prompt receives a stored branded flag based on its actual text and known aliases. At least 80% of the configured mix is intended to be unbranded.

Examples

  • Branded: “What do you know about Example Brand?”
  • Unbranded local discovery: “Recommend a dental clinic in Almaty.”
  • Unbranded comparison: “Compare the best dental clinics in Almaty.”

4. Collect and analyse sampled answers

Answers are not reused across scans. The normal free audit sends the configured prompt plan to model families associated with ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity through provider APIs. It does not directly automate the consumer applications.

Akrux matches known entities and their order, can extract additional company names, filters common non-competitor entities, records cited sources and calculates versioned metrics. Failed requests remain failures and are excluded from score denominators.

5. Review the private report

The owner can inspect the Visibility Score, separate branded recognition, provider-level results, prompts, sampled answers, competitor appearances, answer-level positions, Share of Voice and cited sources. The report is authenticated and is not published as a customer page.

6. Book an optional review call

A business owner may book a call after reading the report. Akrux reviews the evidence, explains important limitations and identifies gaps that may be practical to address. Booking a call does not guarantee that every project will be accepted.

7. Agree on and perform improvement work

Akrux and the business decide which actions are relevant and agree on the scope separately from the free audit. The Akrux team then manually performs the agreed work; the audit application does not implement changes automatically.

8. Use later scans for directional comparison

A later user-initiated scan sends fresh requests and can compare the same types of buyer questions. Results can move because of website or source changes, but also because of models, wording, dates and retrieval. Akrux cannot guarantee that the next scan will improve.
